Coach Smith has been the Eastern Michigan University and Legacy Diving Head Diving Coach for 13 years. As the EMU Coach, Buck’s divers have taken top 8 at the Mid-American Conference 99 times, with 14 MAC Champions, 5 MAC Divers of the year, and has been named the MAC Diving Coach of the Year 10 times. Under Buck’s coaching, EMU Divers have broken all of the school records, and have qualified for Division I NCAA’s 6 times. As the Legacy Diving head coach, Buck has produced 9 Junior National Champions, 1 Senior National Champion, and had 6 current or former divers qualify for the Olympic Trials. In 2012 Summer Allman placed 6th in the 3 meter individual event, and 3rd in the Synchronized 3 meter event. Buck was also named the head coach and team leader for the USA Diving National team that competed at the FINA Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany in 2012. Buck has his B.S. degree from Eastern Michigan University. Buck is married and has two daughters.
